The 812 Competizione is one of 999 cars Ferrari will ever build, the ultimate Versione Speciale of the front-engined V12 berlinetta, sold out before it was introduced and allocated by invitation only. This is what that looks like in person. It arrives in Grigio Silverstone, a deep metallic grey named after the legendary British circuit that hosted some of Ferrari's most defining Formula 1 battles. Dark enough to read as almost black in shade, alive with metallic depth in direct light. Against Giallo brake calipers, Giallo Pirelli Color Edition tyres, and a Nero DS livery stripe, the exterior lands exactly where it should, grey and yellow, the colors of racing intent. Carbon front air intakes, carbon rear extractor, carbon under-door trim, carbon upper tunnel, carbon engine bay trim, airbrushed Scuderia shield, and passenger display complete an exterior that leaves nothing unconsidered. Flavio Manzoni and Ferrari's Centro Stile designed the 812 Competizione to break every aerodynamic boundary a production road car had previously respected. The bonnet carries a transverse carbon fibre blade, a first for any Ferrari road car. The rear screen is completely closed, replaced by a camera system that redistributes rear axle pressure and generates downforce in a way no prior production Ferrari had attempted. Every modification follows one rule: form follows function. The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 produces 830 horsepower at 9,500 rpm, the highest-revving naturally aspirated V12 Ferrari has ever placed in a road car. No turbos, no hybrid. Pure combustion through four-wheel independent steering and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The engine note alone earns the price of admission. Inside, Alcantara Nera wraps every surface in focused black. Daytona Racing seats carry perforated leather inserts with Giallo Pelle stripe detailing, a bespoke selection that threads yellow through the cabin at every point. Carbon door handles, carbon instrument cover, carbon dashboard accents, Giallo safety belts, Giallo Ravello special thread stitching, Giallo embroidered Cavallino headrests, and a yellow rev counter face complete a cockpit that mirrors the exterior's intent without repeating it. Apple CarPlay, adaptive front headlights, suspension lifter, heated windscreen, front and rear parking cameras, and personalization pack round out the specification. One of the last pure naturally aspirated V12 limited-series Ferraris built at this level the collector market has already recognized it.
