The 296 GTS brought a V6 back to an open-top Ferrari for the first time since the Dino 246 GTS, now paired with plug-in hybrid power. This single-owner 296 GTS has covered just 1,812 miles, and it is a full Atelier car, personally configured through Ferrari's Atelier program in New York with an original MSRP of $597,223. It arrives in Verde Minerale Opaco, a matte special-order paint that softens in shade and shows its depth in direct light. A bespoke Atelier livery in a contrasting gold tone runs the length of the car. Twenty-inch forged wheels in matte Oro Chiaro Metallizzato, fixed with titanium studs and finished with carbon centre caps, frame gloss black calipers. Gloss carbon front and lateral spoilers, a carbon rear diffuser, carbon under-door trim, black-finish tailpipes, satin Prancing Horse badges, and classic Scuderia Ferrari shields complete an exterior with no stock detail left. Flavio Manzoni's Centro Stile drew on Ferrari's 1960s sports racers, and the bar behind the cockpit recalls the 1963 250 LM. The retractable hard top folds in two sections over the engine in 14 seconds, at speeds up to 28 mph. The name follows Ferrari tradition: 2.9 liters, six cylinders. A 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged 120(0) V6 works with an electric motor for a combined 818 horsepower. It reaches 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, 124 mph in 7.6, and a top speed of 205 mph. The 7.45 kWh battery allows silent all-electric driving in eDrive mode, and when called on, the full hybrid system delivers instant response. Inside, special-order metallic leather sets a cabin as tailored as the exterior. Dreamlined carbon fibre racing seats carry special-order leather piping and Oro Metallizzato embroidered Cavallino headrests, while Pelle Oro Metallizzata cockpit details and Blu Scuro Alcantara passenger compartment inserts carry the gold-and-blue theme through. A Nero leather headliner, a carbon steering wheel with LED shift lights, dreamlined paddles, and a carbon instrument binnacle brow and dashboard accents sharpen the cockpit. An Atelier dedication plate with drawing and a silver nameplate mark it as a one-of-one specification. Apple CarPlay, Premium Hi-Fi, wireless charging, adaptive front lights, blind spot detection, an advanced front driving camera, front parking sensors, front suspension lift, electrochromic mirrors, and personalization pack round out the specification. A full Atelier 296 GTS at under 2,000 miles is about as personal as a modern Ferrari gets. With factory warranty through October 2028 and 7-Year Genuine Maintenance through October 2032, this example is ready to be enjoyed as Ferrari intended.
